Memorial services for Darlene L. Dreisbach, age 84, of Albert Lea, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 8, 2015 at the Bayview/Freeborn Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Kent Otterman will officiate. Friends may greet the family one hour prior to the service on Wednesday.
Darlene died on Friday, July 3, 2015 at the Albert Lea Good Samaritan Society.
Darlene LaVonne Dreisbach was born on August 1, 1930 in Rochester, MN, the daughter of Adolf J. and Inez M. (Wharton) Wiebold. She lived with her family in Rochester until 1942 when they moved to a farm near Lake City. She graduated from Lincoln High School in Lake City in 1948. Darlene worked as a medical secretary for the Mayo Clinic until 1952. On July 5 of that year, she was married to Robert Dreisbach in Byron. Darlene enjoyed reading, embroidery, cooking, and painting.
Survivors include her daughters Linda (Mark) Hoffman of Albert Lea, Nancy (Milt) Wolff of Glenville, Debora (Rich) Wendorff of Lakeville, and Denise (Jeff) Elseth of Albert Lea; grandchildren Robert (Angie) Hoffman, David (Nicole) Hoffman of Albert Lea, Amber (Rich) Yost of Albert Lea, Stefanie (Bjorn) Olson, of Spring Valley, Nate (Kristine) Wolff, of Hayward, Emily (Shawn) Verius of Rochester, Holly (Joel) Zimmermann of Lakeville, Jacob (Alissa) Wendorff of Lakeville, Amanda (Tony) Kunkel of Lakeville, Michael (Kristy) Elseth of Albert Lea, Jennifer Elseth of Owatonna, and Adam Elseth and special friend Laura Kuphal of St. Louis Park; 20 great-grandchildren, brother Robert (Joan) Wiebold of Rochester; brother-in-law Thomas Bramble of Oronoco; and many nieces and nephews.
Darlene was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Robert, and her sister MaryLou Bramble.
