Daniel J. Ditlevson

Daniel James Ditlevson was born June 25, 1964, to Arlen and Mary Jo Perkins Ditlevson in Albert Lea. He grew up in Conger and graduated from Alden/Conger High School in 1982. Dan worked for Farmstead from 1982 - 1989 and then attended and graduated from Riverland Community College. On November 17, 1989, he was united in marriage to Guadalupe Silva in Reno, Nevada. Dan was employed at Cedar Lake Electric as a Commercial Construction Electrician. He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Conger, a former volunteer for the Conger Fire Department, and had been appointed to the Conger City Council in June of 2004 to fulfill his father's term. Dan was a member of the Elks Lodge, an avid hunter of all game, and enjoyed fishing, snowmobiling, and wrestling. He was a die-hard Minnesota Vikings fan and a season ticket holder for many years. Survivors include his wife, Guadalupe of Conger; step daughter, Angie and her husband, Nick Clark of Albert Lea; mother, Mary Jo Ditlevson of Conger; sisters, Pam and her husband, Lynn Wasmoen of Emmons and Mary and her husband, Lance Frank of Albert Lea; sister-in-law, Antonia and her husband, Dave Holmquist of Minneapolis; brothers-in-law, Refugio Silva, Jr. and his wife, Annie of Aurora, CO, and Jesse and his wife, Deb Silva of Albert Lea; father-in-law, Refugio Silva, Sr. of Albert Lea; and nieces and nephews: Erik and his wife, Melissa Wasmoen and their daughter, McKenzie, Molly Wasmoen, Patrick Frank, Libby Frank, Jessica and her husband, Glenn Davis and their children, Brittney and James, Hilario Falcon, Alex and his wife, Kay Falcon, Sam Silva, Josh Silva, Colton Silva, Jesse Silva, Jr., Julio Silva, Maria Silva, Veronica Silva, and Felix Silva. Dan was preceded in death by his father, Arlen; his grandparents; his mother-in-law, Alejandra Silva; and his brother-in-law, Paul Silva.
