Clifford was born on November 20, 1921, to Ole J. and Anna P. Frantz Anderson in Bricelyn, MN. He attended the Albert Lea public schools. Clifford served our country in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He served in the South Pacific in the U. S. Navy Seebeas. Clifford married Ardell Johnson on March 14, 1945, in Madison, Wisconsin. Clifford worked with his father Ole Anderson & Sons Construction and also worked for Streater Store Fixtures for 28 years. Cliff was a member of the First Lutheran Church where he had been baptized and confirmed, and enjoyed participating in Luther League. He was a member of the V.F.W. and the American Legion. "Doc" as he was affectionately known, especially enjoyed time spent with his family, especially his grandchildren. His skilled hands worked on many homes, churches, and the ski jump on White Lake. The ski hill was where he spent many hours in competitive ski jumping, and nursing the occasional broken shoulder. He loved helping his family with projects and passing on his skills for future generations. H worked jointly with Ardell on "Doc & Dell's Designs." When his health would no longer allow big buildings, he made many dollhouses for friends and family. Survivors include his wife, Ardell of Albert Lea; children, Kathy John Hamberg of Minneapolis, Mark Jan Anderson of Park Rapids, Kristine Ron McIntryre of Glenville, Bruce Kathy of Eagle River, Alaska, Allan Anderson of Albert Lea, Mary Hagen Mel Christian of La Crescent; grandchildren Joanna and Andrea Hamberg, Mark and Bill Anderson, Kim Lundak, Bucky Christensen, Heather, Cliff, Derek, and Annah Anderson, Josh, Alisha, Sidney, and Mackenzie Anderson, Tommy Hagen Nicki Weissenberger; great-grandchildren; Angie and Melanie Anderson, Drew and Madi Passingham, Bergan Lundak, Campbell, Otis, and Theo Christensen, Dusti Anderson, Trenton Lehner, Deven Hoffman, Jorgen Anderson, Trystan Hagen, and Evelyn Anderson; sisters, Volly Johnson of Edina, Agnes Kaasa of Chippewa Falls, Esther Williamschen of Mpls, Selma Johnson of Council Bluffs; sister-in-law, Fern Anderson of Wheatridge, CO.; brother, Norman Anderson of Albert Lea; several nieces and nephews. Clifford was preceded in death by his parents; sister Helene; brothers Andy and Ole; a baby brother in infancy; and sister-in-law, Dorothy Anderson; brothers-in-law, Herb Zerrien, Robert Kaasa, and Orville Williamschen.
