Carroll C. Cornick was born August 13, 1929, to Delose H. and Grace E. Lundburg Cornick in Albert Lea. He lived in Albert Lea his entire life and attended Albert Lea Schools, Class of '48. On August 22, 1948, Carroll was united in marriage to Dorothy Jean Anderson at Grace Lutheran Church. He had been a salesman for the Holsum Bread Co. and Streater's before establishing Cornick Construction, building homes in Albert Lea for 33 years. Carroll was a charter member of Grace Lutheran Church and later a charter member of Ascension Lutheran Church. He was also a member of the Elks and the Eagles. Carroll was a gentle, caring man who was always there for his family and friends and especially enjoyed being involved in their lives. Survivors include his children: Sandy and husband, Galen Bolinger, Wanda and husband, Steve Thomas, Dave and wife, Soraya Cornick, Diane and husband, Earl Cleven, Renae and husband, Arden Peterson, Julie Golder, and foster daughter, Alice Frost; 21 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren; brothers, Roger and wife, Donna Cornick and Darryl and his wife, Helen Cornick; sisters, Marcella Bruley and Florence Matz; and nieces and nephews. Carroll was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Dorothy, in 1994; brothers, Charles and James; and sister, Dorothy Hemingway.
