Carol Ann Stiles

August 10, 1942 — November 28, 2010

Carol Ann Stiles was born August 10, 1942 to George and Alta Sanborn in Albert Lea, MN. She was baptized and confirmed at the United Methodist Church in Albert Lea. Carol graduated from Albert Lea High School in 1960. She married Keith Stiles June 18, 1961. To them were born four boys: Rodney, Donald, John and Dale. Carol graduated from Ritter's School of Cosmetology in 1972. She worked at Penny's Beauty Salon, Carol Stiles Shop, Michaels Main St., and Faye's Hair & Skin Care of Fort Smith, Arkansas. She was a nanny for Dr. Miye Kim and Dr. Mike Rauser, attended Riverland College for two years and received her medical receptionist degree, worked for Freeborn County Health, Intrepid USA, Thorncrest Retirement Community, and played in "The Corporation" band. Carol was a member of Grace Lutheran Church and served on the Altar Guild and choir. "I loved life and loved all the people I have come to know through my life."

Survivors include sons Rodney (Claire) of Inver Grove Heights, Donald of Minneapolis, John (Sandy) of Oakdale, Dale (Carrie) of North Branch; grandchildren Matthew (Elizabeth), Paul (Tiffany), Bethany, Nathaniel, Caleb, Annica, and Tobie Stiles; great-grandchildren Isaiah and Joshua; and special children Thomas and Shelly Rauser of Loma Linda, CA; brother Clint Sanborn, sister-in-law Mary Ann Sanborn of Albert Lea, brother and sister-in-law Arvid and Kay Stiles of Wells, and several special nieces and nephews.

Carol was preceded in death by her husband Keith, father and mother George and Alta Sanborn, brothers Chuck Sanborn and Jim Sanborn, father and mother-in-law Irving and Mildred Stiles, brothers-in-law Gordon Moyer, Jay Gresczyk, and sister-in-law Joyce Gresczyk.

Memorials are preferred to Freeborn County Relay for Life or the Trust in the Lord Trust Fund to be set up for future seminarians (care of the "Stiles Family").
