Betty Josephine Keesling

Memorial services for Betty J. Keesling, age 78 of Twin Lakes, MN., will be held on Saturday, June 4, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at Bayview/Freeborn Funeral Home.  Friends may greet the family one hour prior to the services at the chapel.  Private burial will take place at a later date.  

Betty J. died on Friday at her home.

Elizabeth Josephine (Betty) Keesling was born on Oct. 1, 1932 the daughter of Joseph and Elizabeth (Muzic) Kust  in Alexandria, MN.  She attended and graduated from the Mound High School.  Betty was united in marriage to Kenneth Keesling on Nov. 14, 1952 in Wayzata, MN.  The couple lived in several areas of the Albert Lea area.  Betty loved being a homemaker for her husband, children and grandchildren.  She enjoyed crafts of all kinds, bowling, fishing and gardening.

Survivors include her husband, Kenneth, Twin Lakes, MN., children; Kenneth Jr. (Brenda) Keesling, Albert Lea, Kevin Keesling, Albert Lea, Kurt (Donna) Keesling, Altinmonte Springs, Florida, Kim (Keith Jr.) Porter, Albert Lea and Karmen (Rod) Blackhawk ,Silver Lake, MN.  10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Brothers; Jim (Carol) Kust, Delano, MN., and Jack Kust, Montrose, MN.  Sisters; Pat (Paul) Solstad, Woodbury, MN., Peggy (Dean) DeLuge, Clinton, MN., Carol Kust, Minnetonka, MN., and Kathy Wheeler, Mound, MN.  Sister-in-law;  Joan Kust, Mound, MN.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Gerald, Bob and Joseph Jr.   Sister-in-law, Jean Kust and brother-in-law Cliff Wheeler.
