Betty L. Berven

Elizabeth Louiza Simpson Berven was born on Dec. 11, 1924 in Clearmont, Missouri the daughter of Benjamin and Susie Adkins Rogers. Betty grew up in the Clearmont area where she attended and graduated in 1943 from Clearmont High School. She was united in marriage to Delbert Simpson on Nov. 18, 1943 in Missouri. The family moved to Freeborn county in the early 1950's. After the death of Delbert, Betty was married to Allen Berven on March 31, 1984 in Glenville. Betty worked at Streaters for 18 years when she retired. She was a member of the Glenville United Methodist Church. Betty was a wonderful mother and grandmother. She loved her animals especially her dogs. Spending time with her family and friends was her greatest joy. She will be missed greatly. Betty is survived by her children; Delbert Jr. and wife Julaine Simpson, Albert Lea, David Simpson, Albert Lea, Mary Coxworth, Castalia, IA. and Rita and husband Brian Rehdantz, Glenville. Step-children; Larry and wife LeAnn Berven, Lonnie and wife Kim Berven and Lynn and wife Jan Berven. Grandchildren: Brittany Simpson, Susan Mike Rehdantz, James Carissa Rehdantz, Heather Rehdantz, Harlan Simpson, Scott Chris Coxworth, Ray John Diana Coxworth, Barton Sarah Berven, Sari Berven, Amanda Bartholmey, Laura Swank, Mike Berven, Brad Berven, Tracey Briggs and Todd Berven. Great-grandchildren: Hannah Berven, Ashlyn Berven, Caitlin Coxworth, Cody Coxworth, Zane Anderson, Jessica Norgard and Justin Norgard. Many nieces, nephews and cousins. Her special pets, Diva, Otto, Petey, Zeke, Jade, Micky, Homer, Auron and Evrae. Betty was preceded in death by her parents, son, Roger, husbands, Delbert Simpson and Allen Berven. Brothers; LeRoy, Henry and Edward Rogers. Sister Lena Pruitt and special dogs Missy, Dusty and AJ.
