Bette Jane Westrum

Bette Jane Westrum was born on February 22, 1923 to Freeman and Sarah Iehl Hanson in Iowa Falls, IA. In 1933 the family moved to the Glenville area. Bette attended school in Glenville and graduated from Albert Lea High School. After graduation, she worked at Woolworth & Co. Bette married Orville Westrum on August 9, 1942 in Glenville. She worked at Wilson Foods in Albert Lea for 23 years and retired in 1973. Bette was a member of the United Methodist Church in Albert Lea and a member of the Albert Lea Moose Lodge. She enjoyed knitting and crocheting. Survivors include many nieces and nephews. Bette was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Orville; son, Larry Michael; and sister, Mrs. Owen Irene Hoyt.
