Bernhard Greggar Lee was born March 26, 1932 to Edwin and Clara Reindal Lee in Minneapolis. He attended elementary school in Glenville and graduated from Albert Lea High School in 1950. Bernie enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1954. After his discharge, he returned to the Glenville area and the family farm. On December 12, 1953, Bernie was united in marriage to Gwendolyn Overland at Round Prairie Lutheran Church. He retired from farming in 1990. Bernie and Gwen enjoyed camping in the summer in Grand Marais and winters in Golden Valley, Arizona. He also enjoyed deer hunting with his family and going to coffee with his friends in Glenville. Bernie was a member of Legion Post #264 where he had served as Commander. He was also a member of the First Lutheran Church in Glenville and the Elks and had served on the Glenville City Council. Survivors include his wife, Gwen of Glenville; children: Michael and wife, Renee Lee of Albert Lea; Jenny and husband, Gary Turnmire of Alden, and Robert Lee of Albert Lea; Grandchildren; Sarah Lee and special friend, Galen Pagel, Jesse and wife, Jessica Lee, Keri Lee and special friend, Jeff Anderson, Sophie Lee, Nick Turnmire, Rachel Turnmire, Chris Lee, and Jason Lee; great-grandchildren, Connor Lee and Jaden Lee; and very close friends, Paul and Gail Becker and "Colorado Bob." Bernie was preceded in death by his parents. Bernie will be sadly missed by his family and many friends.
