Memorial services for Bernice Viola Ruble, age 91, of Austin will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 22, 2012 at Oakland Lutheran Church. Rev. Katie Fick will officiate. Private interment will be at Fairview Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-8:00 p.m. Monday, May 21st at the Moscow Town Hall and one hour prior to the service at the church.

Bernice Viola Ruble was born on March 19, 1921 in Mud Lake, MN the daughter of Thorval and Palma (Johnson) Kolden. She grew up in northern Minnesota graduating from Holt High School in the late 1930âs. After graduation Bernice came to the area to find work. On May 15, 1941 she married Richard Ruble in Hayward, MN. Bernice worked as a secretary for her husband for the various organizations he worked and volunteered for. She was a member of the Moscow Lutheran Church and Grapevine Twist. Bernice enjoyed cooking, baking, sewing, and square dancing. She was well known for growing and making gorgeous gladiolas arrangements. She will be remembered with love.
Survivors include her children Cheryl (Glenn) Schewe, Andrea (James) Flemming and Emerson (Nikki) Ruble all of Austin; granddaughters Kim Carter, Kris Schewe, Emily (Kyser) Bartelt, Maria Ruble and Justine Ruble; grandsons Kevin Schewe and Kylin Schewe, step-grandson Adrian (Krystal) Merfeld; great-granddaughters Staci Schewe, Leah Schewe, Taylor Schewe and Josey McAlister; great-grandsons Knox Bartelt and Sawyer Bartelt; siblings Jim (Connie) Kolden, Janet (Bill) Doxrude, Orville (Makia) Kolden, Kendall (Vicki) Kolden and Lyla (Al) Burnett; many nieces and nephews.
Bernice was preceded in death by her parents; husband Richard; grandchildren Angela Marie Flemming and Martin Richard Flemming; siblings Thelma, Carol, Richard, Reuben, Lorna, Earl, Floyd and Roger.
