July 31, 1920 — November 5, 2014

Memorial services for Barbara S. Chrz, age 94 of Albert Lea will be held on Thursday, Nov. 20, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. from Our Saviors Lutheran Church.  Pastor James Kassara  will officiate.  Burial will be at Hillcrest Cemetery.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.  Online condolences are welcome at www.bayviewfuneral .com
Barbara died on Wednesday, Nov. 5, 2014 at St. John’s Lutheran Community.
Barbara Sylvia Chrz was born on July 31, 1920 the daughter of Oliver and Nellie (Stene) Honsey on the family farm in Lake Mills, IA. She was baptized and confirmed at the Lime Creek Synod Lutheran Church. Barbara attended and graduated from Lake Mills High School in 1939.  She was united in marriage to Woodrow Chrz on May 2, 1942 at the Lime Creek Parsonage.  The couple lived in Lake Mills, IA, and then moved to Albert Lea, MN.  Barbara worked at Ma's Cafe and several retail stores in Albert Lea..  She enjoyed flowers, gardening and the fishing trips that she and Woody took to Northern Minnesota, spending the winter months in Arizona and her European travels and reading.  Barbara was a member of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church and active in the church circles.
Barbara is survived by her son, Bruce and wife June Chrz, Albert Lea, granddaughter, Tiffany Chrz, Albert Lea and great-grandchildren, Damian Montes and Lukas Severson.  Brother, Rudolph Honsey, Mankato and sister-in-law Dorothy Honsey of Lake Mills.  Many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Woody, brothers, Conrad and Joseph and sisters, Thelma and Naomi
