Ansel T. Thostenson

Ansel Tilford Thostenson was born October 19, 1915, to Theodore and Thea Knudson Thostenson in Manchester Township. He was baptized and confirmed at the West Freeborn Lutheran Church. On September 22, 1979, Ansel was united in marriage to Helen Huper at the Salem Lutheran Church. He was a lifelong farmer who especially loved horses and farmed with them until his retirement in 1997. Ansel also drove bus for the New Richland School District and milk truck for the Hartland Creamery. He was a member of the Salem Lutheran Church. Ansel is survived by his sister, Inez Shaunce of Geneva and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Helen; and brothers and sister: Alvin, Norvin, Theodora, and Willy.
