Amy Jo Burgett

Amy Jo Burgett was born October 10, 1982, to Phillip and Cathy Carlsen Hensche in Albert Lea. She attended Albert Lea schools and graduated from Albert Lea High School. Amy was a member of the Concordia Lutheran Church of Pickerel Lake all her life. She had lived in Emmons for six years. On June 18, 2005, Amy was married to Jacob Burgett at the Concordia Lutheran Church. She was employed as a frame builder at Viracon in Owatonna. Amy enjoyed figure skating, coaching, skating competitions, basketball, and softball. She loved her dogs and all animals and especially enjoyed spending time with her family and many friends. Survivors include her husband, Jacob Burgett of Emmons, presently serving in Iraq; parents, Phil and Cathy Hensche of Albert Lea; brothers: Jamie Hensche and special friend, Brandy Erb of Hayward, Jeremy Hensche and special friend, Erin Polleck of Tampa, FL, and Jason Hensche and special friend, Tiffany Ryks of Albert Lea; sister, Lorrie Hensche and special friend, Josh Bryand of Albert Lea; grandparents, Darrell and JoAnn Carlsen of Clarks Grove and Norma Hensche of Alden; parents-in-law, Kirk and Judy Burgett of Emmons; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Jarvis and wife, Dawn Burgett and their children, Ethen and Isaac of Emmons; grandparents-in-law, Earl and Dorothy Towne of Emmons and Marion Burgett of Stanford, FL, and many aunts, uncles, and friends. Amy was preceded in death by grandfathers, Arnold Hensche and Ervin Hovland. Amy Jo will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
