Allen Alfred Kaufman

Allen Alfred Kaufman, 86, passed away on Saturday, March 9, 2024. A memorial service will be held at Bear Lake Concordia Lutheran Church on Saturday, March 16, 2024 at 2PM with visitation to be held an hour prior. Interment will take place at Bear Lake Concordia Lutheran Cemetery immediately following the service. Pastor Lucas Peters will be officiating. 

Allen was born on December 13, 1937 to Alfred and Marie (Wangen) Kaufman. He grew up in rural Albert Lea along with his three siblings and attended Albert Lea High School, graduating in 1955. He joined the army and served for two years before coming back to Albert Lea to work at Streaters and his family farm.

Allen was a member of the Bear Lake Concordia Lutheran Church and until his passing, was the oldest man in the congregation. He loved going to farm auctions and driving Oliver tractors. When he wasn’t busy with work or his hobbies he would often visit Janet Venem and her family.

He is survived by his brother Lee (Mary) Kaufman, sister Karen Godtland, sister-in-law Brenda Kaufman, and seven nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, infant sister, brother Loren Kaufman, and brother-in-law Ron Godtland.

Memorials are preferred to Bear Lake Concordia Lutheran Church or donor’s choice.
