Alice was born on May 29, 1948, in Albert Lea to Carlyle and Grace Johnson. She grew up on the Family Farm in Ellendale. After graduating she moved to Waseca and worked at Lakeshow Nursing Home as a nursing assistant until she retired. Alice enjoyed doing puzzles and playing cards. She had a special talent for baking and looked forward to every year making her lefse along with all her Christmas goodies.
Alice also looked forward to the Freeborn County Fair waiting hours in line for her “fourth row center stage seat.” She also enjoyed watching the kids show their 4-H animals. During this time, she created countless cherished memories. Alice found happiness in helping others. She had unwavering devotion to her family. She was a devoted sister and loving aunt, stepping up to help raise her nephew and nieces, but nothing made her happier than helping family.
Alice is survived by her brother Martin (Karen) Johnson; nephews Brian (Lynette) Johnson, Matthew (Liz) Stitzmeyer, Dean (Lonna) Broitzman, and Todd (Jody) Broitzman; nieces Megan (Kari) Berg, Amy (Mathias) Gregor, and Angie (Collin) Johnson; and her Brother-in-Law Leroy Stitz.
