Agnes Valborg Dolmetsch was born on June 30, 1915 in rural Driscoll, ND, the daughter of Oscar and Mina (Gunderson) Severson. They moved to Manchester Township when Agnes was a baby. She was baptized and confirmed at West Freeborn Lutheran Church. Agnes attended District #18 School and graduated from Albert Lea High School. She worked at Maâs Café on South Broadway where she met her husband, A.C Larson. They were married on May 29, 1938. They soon moved to Vallejo, CA, to do electrical work in the shipyards there. Agnes went to school to become a switchboard operator. After WWII ended the ship building closed. They moved to Delaware where A.C. worked on electrical work for the highway and Agnes worked as a typist/receptionist at Wilmington Trust. After A.C.âs passing, she married Richard Dolmetsch in 1965. He died in 1967. Ag enjoyed travelling around the USA and other countries. She was a member of St. Markâs Lutheran Church in Wilmington, the Friendship Club, and helped at the blood bank. She was a member of First Lutheran church in Albert Lea and the Ladies Circle. She was a life member of the VFW Auxiliary in Albert Lea.
Survivors include her sister Ruby Fredrickson, sister-in-law Jean Severson, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Agnes was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands A.C. and Richard, sisters Hannah (Rueben)Burtness, Mildred(Paul) Foster, Alda(Edward) Otterstrom, Helen (Harvey) Paulson, and Jeanne (Richard)Ulve; brothers John (Arlene)Severson and Oscar(Jean) Severson, and brother-in-law Delmar Fredrickson.
