Adelle Mae Loken

Adelle died on Sunday, March 17, 2013 at St. John’s Lutheran Home.
Adelle Mae Loken was born on February 25, 1914 in Worth County Iowa.  She grew up in rural Northwood and graduated from high school. She taught school for several years. In the 1930’s Adelle was united in marriage to Raymond Loken at Silver Lake Lutheran Church. The couple farmed south of Twin Lakes. Adelle lived on the farm there for seventy years, moving to an apartment in Emmons ten years ago. Adelle was a very pleasant, positive, and outgoing person.  After her son Reid went to college she began working as a CNA at St. John’s Lutheran Home.  She was a member of Emmons Lutheran Church and associated women’s groups.  She enjoyed travelling in her younger years. She was a member of the Twin Lakes and Emmons Senior Citizen’s groups. In her later years Adelle enjoyed watching the Minnesota Twins on television.
Survivors include her son Reid (Ladonna) Loken and many nieces and nephews.
Adelle was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Raymond, a son Craig in early childhood and a daughter in infancy.
